Today I received a copy of the upcoming Spring edition of the BBC Wildlife Magazine due out on the 12th of March. I was pleased to find one of my Northern Gannet pictures had been published.
A Northern Gannet had been blown off course and landed at Kings Mill Reservoir in Mansfield Nottinghamshire, It appeared to be tired and hungry so was rescued by a team of specialists it is now believed to be recovering and should be released back home soon if it hasn’t already done so.
Over the last few weeks or so I have been filming little clips of wildlife with the intention to start a series of videos documenting wildlife. here is a short highlight video of the last few weeks. I hope you enjoy it.
In the last few months Nottinghamshire as been blessed with some great birds to be seen, In the last 6 weeks I have been lucky enough to capture the Parrot Crossbills at Budby, The Northern Gannet at Kings Mill Reservoir, The Northern Gannet as now been rescued and taken to a Specialist Sea Bird centre in Norfolk, I have also had the pleasure of capturing the Glossy Ibis in Lowdham. Words cant describe how great it feels to add these to my list of birds I am compiling. Sometimes the Weather and Lighting can be a pain but I am happy with my pictures that I have captured.
